Typhoon Mangkut Takes the Shenzhen Stock Exchange Bulls Down is Fake News – BJNEWS
Shenzhen citizens panic over the fallen bull sculptures after Typhoon Mangkut hits Shenzhen Stock Exchange building.
The Typhoon “Mangosteen” or “Mangkut” has ravaged Philippines, Hong Kong, Macau and recently hit Shenzhen. The bronze-charging bull sculptures in front of Shenzhen Stock Exchange had been reportedly fallen by the severity of Typhoon Mangkut.
The Chinese are known as believers in superstitions, and the fallen bulls are one of the bad omen, which caused Chinese investors to panic for awhile after the news had been released.
However, the reliable sources in Shenzhen have clarified that the bull sculptures are all healthy and well, and that the photo was taken in a different angle to make it seems like the bulls have fallen.
