AOT Aims to Enhance Its Services by Signing MOU with World’s Renown Airport Administrator
AOT has signed an MOU with Airports Company South Africa to enhance its service and study a new direct route from South Africa to Thailand.
Mr. Nitinai Sirismatthakarn, president of Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) announces on December 14, 2018, that AOT has signed the Sister Airport Agreement with Airports Company South Africa (ACSA), an airport operator of nine airports in South Africa. AOT and ACSA will be cooperating in a regular meeting, exchange of information, joint marketing and promotion and joint work activities.
The agreement was for cultural exchanges and to promote direct flights from Suvarnabhumi Airport to an airport in Johannesburg and Cape Town as the demand of travellers from South Africa has increased, but could not find a direct flight to Thailand. In 2017, the number of tourists from Africa was 100,000 people, increased 14.5% from 2016.
ACSA is organization trusted organization by African and worldwide in high-quality airport administrations, and had been receiving more than 50 awards, such as Airport Service Quality (ASQ and SKYTRAX) and Top Employer Status etc.
AOT sees this outstanding and successful performance from ACSA in an airport administration field and would like to cooperate with the organization to develop the company for better services.
