THAI has announced to issue 7 series of debentures for a total of not exceeding THB 10 billion with a maturity of 1-15 years, offering to major investors and institutions.
THAI has announced to issue 7 series of debentures for a total of not exceeding THB 10 billion with a maturity of 1-15 years, offering to major investors and institutions.
Thai Airways International Public Co,.ltd (THAI) revealed the company has submitted the registration statement to the Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for issuing and offering 1/2019 debenture, the total of THB 10,000 million shares divided into 7 series as follow:
1) A debenture not exceeding THB 1,500 million that matures in one year (2020) with a fixed interest rate at 2.35% per annum.
2) A debenture not exceeding THB 1,500 million that matures in two years (2021) with a fixed interest rate at 2.65% per annum.
3) A debenture not exceeding THB 1,500 million that matures in three years (2022) with a fixed interest rate at 3.06% per annum.
4) A debenture not exceeding THB 1,500 million that matures in five years (2024) with a fixed interest rate at 3.55% per annum.
5) A debenture not exceeding THB 1,500 million that matures in seven years (2026) with a fixed interest rate at 3.87% per annum.
6) A debenture not exceeding THB 2,500 million that matures in ten years (2029) with a fixed interest rate at 4.20% per annum.
7) A debenture not exceeding THB 2,500 million that matures in fifteen years (2029) with a fixed interest rate at 4.65% per annum.
The interest will be paid every 6 months throughout the maturity period. THAI will offer all of the 7 series to institutions and/or Major investors on April 29-30, 2019, having Bangkok Bank (BBL), Krung Thai Bank (KTB), and Kasikornbank (KBANK) as underwriters. Moreover, on 11 April 2019, Tris Rating Co., Ltd (TRIS Rating) has given a rate A (stable) for THAI.
The purpose of issuing and offering the debenture not exceeding THB 10,000 million is for repayment of debentures and/or return THAI’s loan and/or invest in assets and/or revolving credit of the company. However, A maturity date of previous debentures is between Jan-June 2019 with the amount of THB 5,800 million.
