GRAMMY’s 2Q19 Profit Hikes 33% due to Profit Sharing on Investments and Low Expenses
GMM Grammy Public Company Limited (GRAMMY) has reported its 2Q19 consolidated financial statement through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows:
GRAMMY recorded the net profit in 2Q19 amounted to THB 67.81 million, increased by 33.28% YoY from a net profit of THB 51 million in 2Q18 due to a decrease in expenses and share of profit from investments in joint ventures.
The One Enterprise Co., Ltd. , the operating results continued to show an upward trend. Positive responses are from media advertisers. In 2Q19, there were several popular TV dramas, especially “Heart of Stone” “Look Krung” and “The Fallen Leaf” while variety program, sit-com, and news program maintained its popularity.
GMM Channel Holding Co., Ltd. comprises GMM25 digital TV, Atime radio and showbiz, and content creators. In 2Q19, popular TV drama was “Mia Noi”, while the sold-out concerts were “The Real Nadech Concert” and “Cassette Festival Concert” Other business revenue in 2Q19 amounted to THB 38 million, increased by 2.8% YoY.
