AWC to Enter SET 50, Bringing a Large Market Cap to Push Off SET50/100’s Last Spot.
Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC) is seeking to sell its IPO not exceeding 8,000 million shares at ฿6.00/share on September 25-27, 2019, and expecting to be listed and traded in the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) in early October. The company has appointed Bualuang Securities, Phatra Securities and Kasikorn Securities as financial advisors.
A source from security company revealed that SET will reevaluate SET 50 and SET 100 after the first trading day of AWC according to article 4.4.1.1 if the greater than 1% of SET Index’s total market capitalization, or it is expected to be as large as one of the top 20 of the SET50 or SET100 constituents when SET usually conduct the evaluation twice a year in June and December.
AWC has 192 billion baht of market capitalization, calculating from the total share of 32,000 million shares at the price of ฿6.00/share (IPO price).
The reporter states that the coming of AWC in SET 50 and SET 100 will have a huge impact on the two to three companies to be pushed off from SET 50 and SET 100 which currently are in the last spot of the group.
As of September 11, 2019, the last spot in SET 50 was Kiatnakin Bank Public Company Limited (KKP) with a market capitalization of 57,367 million baht. The one above KKP was Delta Electronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited (DELTA) with a market capitalization of 62,369 million baht, and the one above DELTA is Banpu Power Public Company Limited (BPP) with a market capitalization of 61,325 million baht.
As for SET 100, the current last spot is Beauty Community Public Company Limited (BEAUTY) with a market capitalization of 8,479 million baht. Meanwhile, Ananda Development Public Company Limited (ANAN) who is one spot above BEAUTY still have room for a breather as the company has a market capitalization of 11,265 million baht.
