GUNKUL Acquires ฿48.5m Solar Rooftop Project from EGAT, Booking 8.5bn of Backlog in Total
GUNKUL acquired Solar Rooftop Project from EGAT worth 48.5 million baht, booking 8,500 billion of backlog in total.
Ms. Sopacha Dhumrongpiyawut, President of Gunkul Engineering Public Company Limited (GUNKUL), has revealed that the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) has approved Gunkul Power Development Company Limited, GUNKUL’s subsidiary, to start the purchasing and installation of solar rooftop project at a total capacity not less than 580 kW.
The agreement with EGAT also includes the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at EGAT’s central bureau on an area of 300 rai with a total value of the project at 48,501,458.44 baht.
Moreover, the company also aims to participate in the bidding for more projects from the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) and EGAT for the remaining of this year such as
1) Management of transformer system worth 150 million baht.
2) Bypass Cable Truck worth 200 million baht.
3) Submarine communications cable from the mainland to Koh Samui worth 1,700 million baht.
4) Submarine communications cable from the mainland to Koh Tao worth 1,400 million baht.
5) Submarine communications cable from the mainland to Koh Panyi worth 200 million baht.
6) Metropolitan Electricity Authority’s underground communications cable project worth 1,400 million baht.
All the upcoming bidding could be the drive to increase GUNKUL’s revenue growth this year while the company currently has a total of 8,500 million baht worth of backlog, giving GUNKUL confidence that the revenue and profit growth will meet its objective at 25%.
