Asia Stocks Sees Volatility after a Report of the Delay US-China Trade Deal until December.


Asia stock markets were mixed in the morning session on November 7, 2019, amid the report of a potential delay in the U.S. and China trade deal.

As of 9:25 local time in Thailand, Nikkei fell 0.13%, SSEC rose 0.20%, HSI skidded 0.06%, ASX 200 gained 0.62% and Kospi upped 0.04%.

SET closed at 1,623.99 points, decreased 2.88 points or 0.18% with a trading value of 62.1 billion baht. The analyst stated that the Thai stock market faced a volatile session today after the banking sector rose in the morning then decline in the afternoon after the announcement of rate cut.

The report regarding the delay of the trade deal came in, saying that the meeting between the U.S. President Donald Trump and the Chinese President Xi Jinping could be pushed back until December as both parties still need to decide on the terms and a venue.

The potential signing date is expected to be on December 3 – 4 as Trump will be in London for NATO leaders meeting, and the deal could be made before or at the sideline of the meeting like what Trump used to do.
