GULF’s “SARATH” Claims The No.1 Spot in “Thai Wealthiest Stockholders 2019”, Overtaking the Former No.1 "Prasert Prasarttong-Osoth".
Mr. Sarath Ratanavadi, Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Energy Development Public Company Limited (GULF), has earned the title of the richest man in the stock market with 121 billion baht from holding 35.44% of GULF’s shares which is the only stock he had held.
Money and Banking Magazine has made an official ranking of “Thai Wealthiest Stockholders 2019”, ranked by the individual major investors in Thailand that holds 0.5% stake or higher as of September 30, 2019.
In less than two years after being listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand with an IPO at ฿45.00/share, the share price of GULF jumped to ฿76.25/share on September 30, 2018, raised Mr. Sarath to the second richest man, earned from stock holding, in 2018.
Surprisingly, the share price of GULF continued to rise and closed at ฿160.00/share on September 30, 2019, increased ฿83.75/share or 109.84%, resulted in Mr. Sarath taking the title of the richest man in the stock market in 2019, overtaking the former no.1 Mr. Prasert Prasarttong-Osoth who dropped to second place at 66.1 billion baht while Mr. Niti Osathanugrah took the third spot.
