Hurting from Chemical Business, SCC Reports a Drop of 28% in 2019 Profit to ฿32bn.
The Siam Cement Public Company Limited (SCC) has reported its yearly consolidated financial statement of 2019 through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;
SCC’s profit for the year registered at 32,014 million baht, decreased 28% YoY, while EBITDA declined 13% YoY to 74,960 million baht, attributed to the lower chemicals earnings which outweighed EBITDA improvements seen at both, the Cement-Building Materials and Packaging businesses. Meanwhile, revenue from sales decreased 8% YoY to 437,980 million baht due to the drop in Chemical business (-20% YoY).
Total dividends received in FY2019 amounted to 16,208 million baht, increased 19% YoY or 2,540 million baht.
In addition, the Board of Directors of SCC has approved a year-end 2019 dividend of ฿7.00/share (63% of 2H19 earnings) that is payable on April 27, 2020. The ex-dividend date will be on April 9, 2020.
