Rumour Has BTS Acquiring over 3% of JMT! JMART to Potentially Book Extra ฿530m!
Rumour has it that JMART had sold over 3% stakes in JMT to BTS to book around 530 million baht as an extraordinary item.
According to the data shown on the Big Lot Board of the Stock Exchange of Thailand in yesterday’s trading session, a big lot transaction of JMT Network Services Public Company Limited (JMT) appeared on the board at the amount of 28 million shares, representing 3.15% of JMT’s voting rights at an average price at ฿19.40/share.
Earlier, the reporter stated that there were rumours on JMT’s transactions that it was a transaction between BTS Group Holdings Public Company Limited (BTS), as a buyer, and Jay Mart Public Company Limited (JMART), as a seller.
It had been speculated that JMART would earn a profit of 529.20 million baht from this transaction, based on the amount of JMT’s 28 million shares at an average price of ฿19.40/share while JMART held JMT’s shares at a par value of 0.50 baht, resulting in a profit of ฿18.90/share.
JMT closed the morning session on February 6, 2020, at ฿22.90/share, increased ฿0.20/share or 0.88% with a trading value of 88.98 million baht. Meanwhile, JMART closed at ฿9.40/share, increased ฿0.20/share or 2.17% with a trading value of 37.17 million baht.
