CPF Delivers Food to Support Fight against COVID-19

Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CPF) pledges supports to Thailand’s fight against COVID-19 with the plan to supply food to individuals suspected of having COVID-19 as well as medical staff of public hospitals across the country.

 

Mr. Prasit Boondoungprasert, Chief Executive Officer of CPF, said CPF realizes the Ministry of Public Health’s hardships in dealing with challenges after COVID-19 is designated a dangerous communicable disease under the Communicable Disease Act B.E.2558.

As a leading safe food producer of the world, CPF will take part in this mission through “CPF’s food from the heart against COVID-19” project, whereby CPF’s food products will be delivered to individuals suspected of having the disease as well as the staff of public hospitals across the country.

The project will be carried out in 4 steps: 1) individuals suspected of having COVID-19 are urged to register at Line@CPFRESHMART >> http://bit.ly/2PFFcyB  2) CPF will crosscheck the list of registered individuals with the Department of Disease Control  3) Verification SMS are sent to the individuals and CP Freshmart Delivery team will deliver products from 109 distribution centers across the country (59 in Bangkok) directly to their home and 4) Public hospitals are invited to register for food delivery at Hotline CP Freshmart 1788.

“As a safe food producer, we want to assist the Ministry of Public Health’s mission and take part in relieving the crisis that engulfs Thais and the country. Under this project, CPF will deliver 3 sets of 34 food products: 1) ready-to-eat meals that include microwavable basil chicken with rice, spaghetti carbonara, and shrimp wanton 2) freshly-cooked food with rice and 3) fresh food that include chicken meat and pork. The delivery service will start from 4 March 2020 onwards.
