Breaking News! Thai Cabinet Nods to Close Schools, Clubs and Postpone Songkran’s Holiday.


The Thai Cabinet has resolved to approve a resolution of restriction measures to prevent the spreading of coronavirus in Thailand as follows;

1) To close educational institutions, movie theaters, bars and clubs in the Bangkok Metropolitan Region for 14 days.

2) To postpone Songkran holiday and announce 13-15 April to be working days.

3) To restrict government officers and state enterprises to travel abroad unless urgent.

There will be no shutdown for now, said Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-Cha in the press conference. He also requested cooperation from everyone to prevent the virus from spreading.
