SET Surges 1.2% in Hopes of BMA’s Easing Measures to be Approved by the Cabinet!
SET Index surged as high as 15.23 points or 1.2% to 1,282.64 points after the easing lockdown measures were approved by the Thai Cabinet.
In the meeting on April 28, 2020, the Thai Cabinet approved the extension of emergency decree for one month with a curfew between 22:00 – 04:00 (+1).
According to the source, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has proposed easing measures for shops such as restaurants, hair salons, pet salons, etc. as well as national parks and sports with social distancing such as Badminton and tennis. The measures have been proposed to the cabinet for consideration, which is expected to be announced by tomorrow.
