Analyst Expects SET Index to Maintain above 1,300pts amid Rising Tension between US-China

Finansia Syrus Securities expected SET Index to swing between 1,310-1,330 points. Although the market might still receive positive sentiment from the reopening economy, the approval of the US Senate on Holding Foreign Companies Accountable Act was weighing the US market down while raising tension between the US and China. The US also reported another 2.44 million jobless claim for the previous week.

 

Nikkei shedded 0.39%, SSEC dipped 0.71%, HSI fell 2.98%, ASX 200 slipped 0.25% and Kospi dropped 0.78%.

Over the night, Dow Jones lost 101.78 points or 0.41% to 24,474.12 points. S&P 500 plunged 0.78% and Nasdaq dipped 0.97%.
