Japan to Allow Thai Entering the Country for Business Trips


The Japanese government is considering easing the entry ban on visitors from Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, and New Zealand as those countries have an effective measures controlling the coronavirus outbreak and infections have subsided, a government source said Monday.

Japan will lift the ban for business trips from 4 countries included Thailand as having a strong business ties with. The first easing step is likely to introduce this summer, by allowing entry of foreigners from the countries who have certification for testing negative for the virus

The world’s third largest economy nation has imposed entry bans on 111 countries and regions including the United States, most of Asia and all of Europe, which will effect until the end of June.

Tourist arrivals to Japan have collapsed in recent months amid the global coronavirus pandemic.
