Breaking News! Paris on “Maximum Alert” as Coronavirus Cases Surge!
Paris and its surrounding suburbs will be put under maximum alert as coronavirus cases continue to surge.
According to France 24, the French capital and its surrounding suburbs will be put under maximum alert on Monday as new coronavirus cases remained high at 17,000 on Saturday and 12,560 on Sunday.
New measures to stop the spreading of coronavirus will be announced by Paris’ Mayor Anne Hidalgo at 11.30 a.m. local time Monday and will come into effect on Tuesday. A part of the new measures means that bars will be closed from Tuesday onwards, while restaurants will remain open, but require more precautions.
The new measures are expected to last for 15 days.
