SET Soars 23pts to Welcome “Biden” as the 46th President of the U.S.!

SET Index jumped 23.62 points or 1.87% with a trading value of 3.78 billion baht after Democrat Joe Biden unofficially claimed the White House, beating the Republican Donald Trump by a large margin.

 

On Saturday night, the Democrat finally took a win in Pennsylvania and Nevada, adding 26 electoral votes to accumulate his total votes at 290, compared to Trump’s 214 EVs. Upon being the first candidate to surpass 270 votes, Joe Biden is paving his way to the White House as the 46th president of the United States of America.

Electoral voters will vote on December 14, 2020, to elect the new president and vice president, which are projected to be Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Both are scheduled to be inaugurated on January 20, 2021.
