ACE Signs PPA of Khlong Khlung SPP-Hybrid Plant with EGAT under 20-Year FiT Scheme

Absolute Clean Energy Public Company Limited (ACE) announced that on 6 th January 2021, Bio Power Plant Co., Ltd. (BPP), a subsidiary in which the Company indirectly holds 100% shares has already signed Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) of Khlong Khlung SPP-Hybrid Power Plant with Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT). 

 

BPP’s Khlong Khlung SPP-Hybrid Power Plant utilizes biomass and solar as its energy sources with installed capacity of 20 MW altogether, and has PPA of 13.31 MW with EGAT under Feed-in Tariff (FiT) scheme for the period of 20 years. The project is located in Khlong Khlung District, Kamphaeng Phet Province, and is adjacent to the land plot of Khlong Khlung VSPP Biomass Power Plant which belongs to Advance Clean Power Co., Ltd. (ACP), a subsidiary in which the Company indirectly holds 100% shares. ACP’s Khlong Khlung VSPP Biomass Power Plant is an under-construction project with installed capacity of 9.9 MW, and has PPA of 8.0 MW with the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) under FiT scheme for the period of 20 years. 

 

Regarding progress toward PPA signing of other 3 SPP-Hybrid Power Plant projects which have a total installed capacity of 73 MW, the subsidiaries who own the projects have been making good progress in accordance with relevant government agencies’ rules and regulations. If there are any further projects that have been signed by the PPA, the Company shall notify further as appropriate.
