PTTGC Announces a Certified EIA and Signs EPC Agreement for a ฿5.2Bn Olefins 2 Project

PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (PTTGC) announced, according to the company’s plan to invest in the Olefins 2 Modification Project which will allow PTTGC to increase Propane usage as feedstock and align with the company’s strategy to enhance feedstock flexibility and long-term competitiveness.

At present, the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) has been granted by Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP) and PTTGC has signed Engineering, Procurement and Construction Agreement for this project on January 22, 2021 which the project has been planned to commercial operate within 1st quarter of 2023. The total investment of this project is approximately $165 million or equivalent to 5,198 million baht (at 31.5 baht per USD).
