SUPEREIF’s 2020 Net Profit Surges Nearly 5 Folds to ฿678Mn due to a Spike in Revenue
Super Energy Power Plant Infrastructure Fund (SUPEREIF) has reported its yearly consolidated financial statement of 2020 through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;
SUPEREIF’s total income in FY2020 increased by 178.5% YoY to THB 843.7 million. This was due to FY2020 being the first full year of the Fund investment. Other income was insurance claims received from property insurance policies.
In this period, total project income, which mainly came from income from sale of electricity, equaled THB 1,035.2 million, increasing 172.9% YoY. This was due to FY2020 being the first full year of the Fund investment. Income from sale of electricity for this period came from total electricity sold of 176.6 million units, of which were from units being not exceeding Capacity Factor portion, totaling 165.3 million units at the electricity purchasing rate of THB 5.66 per unit (excluding VAT) and from units being exceeding Capacity Factor portion, totaling 11.3 million units at the electricity purchasing rate of THB 2.8308 per unit (excluding VAT). Income from asset disposal was the remnant of machinery which the damage incident occurred in 2019.
Net investment income in FY2020 increased by 193.1% YoY to THB 646.7 million. Changes in net assets from operations in FY2020 was THB 678.7 million, increasing 472.0% YoY, meanwhile net investment income margin in FY2020 was 76.7%, versus 72.8% YoY. As at 31 December 2020, net asset value (NAV) was THB5,438.5 million, equivalent to THB 10.5602 per unit.
