WORK’s 2020 Earnings Slip to ฿159Mn, Offering a Dividend of ฿0.28 with an XD on Mar 10

Workpoint Entertainment Public Company Limited (WORK) has reported its yearly consolidated financial statement of 2020 through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;

For the year ended December 31, 2020, WORK’s net profit was 159.11 million baht, decreasing by 0.39 million baht or 0.24% from the same period in the previous year. Meanwhile the total revenue was 2,277.19 million baht, decreasing by 494.47 million baht or 18% YoY, mainly as the results of a lower revenue from television programs, event marketing and concerts and plays.

 

Revenue from television programs was 1,798.89 million baht, decreasing 18% YoY due to a decrease of revenue from WORKPOINT TV and sales of TV program licenses caused by the spread of Covid-19 .

 

Revenue from event marketing was 104.59 million baht, decreasing 57% YoY as the coronavirus pandemic has pressured some events to cancel or postpone indefinitely. 

 

Revenue from concerts and plays was 39.02 million baht, decreasing 67% YoY caused by the Covid-19 outbreak as well. 

 

In addition, the Board of Directors of WORK approved a dividend payment of ฿0.28/share to be paid on May 7, 2021. The ex-dividend date is March 10, 2021.
