SET Opens Higher as the Analyst Recommends to Monitor the MPC Meeting
The Thai stock market opened higher on Tuesday as the analyst recommended investors to follow MPC meeting tomorrow.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Index jumped 10.33 points or 0.65% to 1,611.46 points at the opening bell on June 22, 2021, with a trading value of 4.15 billion baht.
Krungsri Securities (KSS) stated that the incline in the Thai stock market was in line with other regional markets as investors awaited the U.S. Fed’s testimony to the Congress to see the economic outlook and monetary policy.
Meanwhile, the energy sector is supporting the Thai stock market, following the increase in oil prices.
The analyst recommended investors to monitor the Monetary Policy Committee meeting tomorrow and the window dressing before the end of 2Q21, giving a support level at 1,600 points and a resistance level at 1,615-1,620 points.
