BGRIM Completes Acquisition of Cogeneration PPs with a Combined Capacity of 360MW
The acquisition of three co-generation power plants with a combined capacity of 360MW has completed on December 21, 2021
B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited (SET: BGRIM) has made progress in reference to the recent statement that Univenture BGP Co., Ltd. (UVBGP), a joint venture company between BGRIM and Univentures Public Company Limited (SET: UV), has acquired three combined cycle cogeneration power plants with a total installed capacity of 360MW, UVBGP has already completed the acquisition of all shares in Eastern Co (E-COGEN). On 21 December 2021, the aforementioned transaction was completed.
The transaction results in UVBGP indirectly holding 74.50 percent of shares in PPTC Company Limited (PPTC) and 100.00 percent of shares in SSUT Company Limited (SSUT).
PPTC and SSUT own combined cycle cogeneration power plants with contracted capacity of 90 MW each, and have entered into a 25-year power purchase agreement with Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT). Summary of approximate installed capacity and key information are as follows:
