WHO Says Pneumonia Outbreak in China May Be Linked to SARS!

WHO said pneumonia outbreak in China may be linked to family of viruses that caused SARS and MERS.


World Health Organization (WHO) said on Wednesday that pneumonia outbreak in China city, Wuhan, may be linked to family of viruses that caused SARS and MERS. About 59 cases that suffering from this mysterious virus had been announced by Chinese authorities.

While the United Nations health agency pointed that more information is needed to confirm the infection, but a new coronavirus was a possibility.

The coronaviruses emerged since 2002 which cause infection “Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome” or SARS, and was introduced to the world again in 2012 due to the cause of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome or MERS.
