Saudi Backs Trump, Saying “He Can Do Whatever He Wishes”

During a panel session at the International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia on Monday, the Saudi Arabia’s Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman expressed that “The president of the United States is the president of the United States, he can do whatever he wishes.” and also said, the US President, Donald Trump, is “certainly” not accountable to him or anyone in the panel. 

 

As a sensitive situation which can be escalated, the energy market participants are monitoring intently. The comment of Abdulaziz came after this concern.

 

Abdulaziz added “As tensions remain high in our region, the kingdom will continue to do all it can do to ensure stable oil markets,”.
