AQUA Posts a 2019 Net Profit of ฿580mn, Issuing a Dividend at ฿0.03

Aqua Corporation Public Company Limited or AQUA has reported the financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2019, the total revenue was 1,266.31 million baht increased by 16.40% compared to the previous year. Gain from sale of investment EPCO increased 96.44% resulting AQUA to record a FY2019 net profit of 579.80 million baht, up 169.78 million baht or 42.66%YoY. 

Advertising media, AQUA’s core business, had an operating revenue of 809.23 million baht, rose 113.55 million baht or 16.32% from 2018. Real estate for rent and services posted an income of 271.04 million baht, dropped by 18.36 million baht or 6.34%YoY reflected from a warehouse of AWH is in the process of finding a new tenants, while MANTRA’s investment property business has revenue increased by 1.12 million baht according to lease and service agreements, and printing and renewable energy business’s earnings increased by 543 million baht or 55% compared to 2018.

In regard to the Board of Directors Meeting No. 1/2020 held on February 28, 2020, the Board had a resolution to approve the appointment of Mr. Arak Ratboriharn as the President, and Mr. Pakorn Mongkoltada as the Director, Executive Director and the Authorized Director, replacement for Mr. Suphan Settapanich with a term position of the Director of the Company as the remaining term of the Director that resigned. Effective from 28 February 2020 onwards.

The Board also approved of the allocation of profit for the year 2020 and retained earnings as a legal reserve amount 7,252,105.26 baht and 0.03 baht per share of dividend payout, representing a total dividend of Baht 137,790,000 (total number of shares entitled to receive dividend of 4,593,000,000 shares). The dividend payout is 118.52% of net profit after deducting legal reserve and approved the date of April 22, 2020 as the day of the rights of shareholders (“Record Date”) to receive dividends. Such dividend payout will be paid to shareholders on May 7, 2020.

Along with the approval of e the capital reduction of registered capital of 688,950,000 bath from the registered capital of 2,985,450,000 baht to the registered capital of 2,296,500,000 baht or in ordinary shares amount of 1,377,900,000 shares with a par value of 0.50 Baht per shares, which the said additional shares are approved by the AGM 2019 , held on 22 April 2019, has resolved to increase the Capital by General Mandate and allocate to the Existing shareholders of AQUA.

AQUA will hold the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders 2020 on Thursday April 9, 2020 at 2.00 p.m. at IBIS Styles Bangkok Ratchada, 2nd Floor, and the list of shareholders who are eligible to attend the Annual General Meeting will be determined on March 17, 2020 (Record date). 

Mr. Arak Ratboriharn,  the President, said that “In 2019, the company has recorded its consolidated financial statement over 500 million baht for the very first time ever, which impacted by advertising media, real estate for rent and services, and the share of profit from EPCO, the energy power business sector that slightly affected from the economic condition. The distribution of a dividend at the rate of 0.03 baht per share which caused the company to have a dividend yield of 5.26% which was the highest percentage since the company has been offering a dividend.”
