Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s wife Tests Positive for Covid-19
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s wife, Sophie Gregoire, has tested positive for Covid-19. The official statement was released on Thursday which stated that “Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau was tested for Covid-19 today. The test came back positive,”
“Following medical advice, she will remain in isolation for the time being. She is feeling well, is taking all the recommended precautions and her symptoms remain mild,” it said.
“The Prime Minister is in good health with no symptoms. As a precautionary measure and following the advice of doctors, he will be in isolation for a planned period of 14 days,” the statement added. “Also on the advice of doctors, he will not be tested at this stage since he has no symptoms.”
Earlier Thursday, Trudeau and his wife announced the self-isolating as Sophie has had a flu and had to test for the coronavirus after returning from a speaking engagement with “mild flu-like symptoms.”
According to the latest report, Canada has a number of coronavirus confirmed cases at 138 and only 3 probable cases.
