AOT Officially Issues Temporary Ban on All International Flights to Thailand till May 31


Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) announced in reference to the notifications of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), Re: Temporary Ban on All International Passenger Flights to Thailand (No. 2), dated 6 April 2020, and (No. 3), dated 15 April 2020, to extend a temporary ban on all international passenger flights to Thailand from 00.01 a.m. of 7 April 2020 to 11.59 p.m. of 30 April 2020 for the prevention of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak and the speedy recovery from emergency situations affecting all six airports under AOT’s supervision.

 

AOT informed that CAAT later issued the CAAT Notification Re: Temporary Ban on All International Passenger Flights to Thailand (No. 4), dated 27 April 2020, to extend a temporary ban on all international passenger flights to Thailand from 00.01 a.m. of 1 May 2020 to 11.59 p.m. of 31 May 2020. This is to ensure continuity and effectiveness of precautionary measures against the COVID-19 outbreak. However, the notification does not apply to the following:

1) State or military aircraft

2) Emergency landing

3) Technical landing without disembarkation

4) Humanitarian aid, medical and relief flights

5) Repatriation flights

6) Cargo aircraft
