BA Extends to Suspend Domestic Flights and Temporary Closure of All Airports Exc. Samui
Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited (BA) announced regarding to the request to suspend all domestic flights and temporary closure of BA’s three airports until 30 April 2020 due to outbreak of COVID-19. BA informed that period for suspension of all domestic flights and period for temporary closure of airport services will be extended a while with exception of Samui Airport.
Samui Airport will be re-opened on 15 May 2020 to accommodate 2-daily flight operation on route Bangkok-Koh Samui, resumed on the same date, utilizing ATR72 aircraft. During airport closure, airport services will be provided for exceptional cases as follows:
1) state or military flights
2) emergency-landing flights
3) technical-landing flights
4) humanitarian aid/medical and relief flights
5) repatriation flights
6) cargo flights
However should there by any significant impact from operation of the business, BA will keep informed accordingly.
