Taiwan to Ease Border Control, Allowing Thai Arrivals Only for Business Trip

Taiwan is set to ease border control by next week and will allow business trip travellers from some lower-risk countries, including Thailand, with Covid-19 tested and quarantined requestment. 

Although Taiwan has never ever put the country in lockdown in order to curb the virus spreading, but the government was applied some domestic restriction and border control by suspending most foreign arrivals since mid-March. 

Taiwan’s Central Epidemic Command Centre said from the next Monday, it will allow business people coming from lower-risk areas including New Zealand, Australia, Vietnam and Thailand, plus those from South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Macau, which it judged medium to low risk., according Reuters. 

Travellers will have to show certification for testing negative for the virus and travel plan. Moreover, all those visitors will be requested to provide the business invitation proof issuing by a company.
