Thailand to Prolong the State of Emergency for Another Month
Office of the National Security Council (NSC) on Thursday, June, 25, agreed to prolong the State of Emergency for another month until July, as many expressed concern at coronavirus lockdown being eased.
Government is set to launch a phase 5 of lockdown relaxation, leading a worrisome as mass activities will start to resume, such as school reopenings. Hence to avoid an outbreak resurgence, NSC shall to extend the Emergency Decree, which scheduled to expire on June 30.
NSC will forward the extension proposal to the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) on June 29, 2020.
