Thai June Car Exports Fall 48.71%, while Domestic Sales Shrink for a 13-Straight Month
Thailand’s car exports fell 48.71% year-on-year in June to 50,549 vehicles as trading partner countries still suffered from the Covid-19 impact, while the export value was dropped by 43.06% year-on-year to 29.23 billion baht, said the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) on Thursday.
Apprently, car exports shrank by 37.39% YoY in the first six months of 2020 (Jan – Jun 2020).
Meanwhile domestic car sales dropped 32.6% year-on-year to 58,013 units in June, 13th straight month of contraction as the coronavirus outbreak hit demand.
