MPC Votes Unanimously to Maintain the Policy Rate at 0.50%

On September 23, 2020, the MPC voted unanimously to maintain the policy rate at 0.50 percent and revised the Thai GDP forecast in 2020 to contract by -7.8% from the previous of -8.1%. 

MPC expected the Thai economy in 2021 to expand by 3.6% from the previous forecasting of 5% mainly due to economic instability.
