Thailand’s government lifted a severe state of emergency in Bangkok from midday on October 22, 2020. The emergency decree was imposed to curb the pro-democracy protest since the early morning of October 15, 2020 after the protestors marched to the Government House of Thailand to demand the Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha to resign and rewrite the constitution.
