AOT Surges 14% following Progress in Covid-19 Vaccine, Analyst Recomm. “Speculation”

The share price of Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) as of 10:56 local time in Thailand rose ฿7.75/share or 13.54% to ฿65.00/share with a trading value of 8,138 million baht.

 

The rise in share price was in response to the announcement of progress in vaccine development by American pharmaceutical corporation Pfizer and German biotechnology company BioNTech, saying that their coronavirus vaccine is more than 90% effective.

 

Finansia Syrus Securities stated that as Thailand is heavily reliant on tourism, in the short-term recommending “Speculation” on Vaccine Play such as the hospitality sector, airline-airport sector and commodity sector.
