Bill Gates Predicts Over 50% of Business Travel Will Fade Away in Post-Pandemic World
The world’s billionaire and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates predicted that as of the Covid-19 outbreak impact, over 50% of business travel and over 30% of days in the office will go away.
He believed coronavirus will completely change how people travel and conduct business, even when the pandemic is over. “My prediction would be that over 50% of business travel and over 30% of days in the office will go away,” Gates told Andrew Ross Sorkin Tuesday during the New York Times’ Dealbook conference.
In addition, he predicted that there will be a “very high threshold” for conducting business trips as working from home is more feasible. However, some companies may be more extreme with their efforts to reduce in-person meetings than others.
