TU to Test All Employee after Confirming 1 Case in Samut Sakhon’s Branch.
As a result of the resurgence of COVID-19 infections in Samut Sakhon, Thai Union Public Company Limited (TU) stated that the company’s top priority is ensuring the ongoing health, safety and wellbeing of all its employees, partners, suppliers, customers and local communities. The company continues to follow all measures required by the government and local authorities and, as of Monday 21 December, the company has just one confirmed case among the employees in Samut Sakhon. in Thailand. the company will continue following all employee testing requirements from the authorities.
At the present time, all of the factories under the company and its affiliates in Thailand remain open and the company is carefully handling to prevent any temporary shutdown of production lines. However, should the unlikely worst-case scenario happen involving the total shutdown of all Thai Union Samut Sakhon plants for two weeks, this would have an impact of less than 2% of total revenue, and the company already has back up capacity to partially offset that.
The company is also urging all employees to continue rigorously following all health and safety guidelines from the government and local authorities including internal measures. the company has had a screening process in place since much earlier this year for all people coming to our factories -including both staff and visitors – including the requirement that they wash their hands often, use alcohol hand sanitizer and maintain social distancing.
