GUNKUL Commences the Operation of 29.99MW “Large Scale Solar PV Project” in Malaysia

Gunkul Engineering Public Company Limited (GUNKUL) announced that the Company has invested in Kenyir Gunkul Solar SDN BHD (KGS), a company that operates a ground installed solar power plant. KGS has successfully started commercial operation of Large Scale Solar PV (LSSPV) project in Malaysia with total capacity of 29.99 MWac on 31st December 2020. 

LSSPV Solar Power Plant project is located in Terengganu, Malaysia, with a total capacity of 29.99 MWac (Installed Capacity of 39.0297 MWdc). This is a project that produces and sells solar power to Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), which is in accordance with a power purchase agreement, total of 29.99 MWac, with the purchase rate of Feed-in Tariff at MYR 0.38 per kWh for a period of 21 years, starts from the commercial operation date.
