EGCO-IEAT Enter Agreement to Jointly Develop EGCO Rayong Industrial Estate

Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCO) announced that on January 11, 2021, EGCO entered into the joint project development contract with Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand for EGCO Rayong Industrial Estate (ERIE) development.

 

ERIE, an industrial estate of approximately 621 Rais situated in Map Ta Phut, Tambon Huay

Pong, Amphoe Muang, Rayong Province, shall effectively utilize EGCO’s existing land which is already equipped with a natural gas piping system, transmission line, substation, and raw water pipes. 

 

The location of ERIE in the Eastern Economic Corridor zone is beneficial privileges which attracts further investment. These beneficial factors shall create growth opportunity in utilities

related businesses in Rayong Power Plant area such as water and waste management, smartgrid, solar rooftop and solar floating. ERIE has aimed to be a smart and green industrial estate, expectedly to start operating in 2022.

 

The objective of joint project development is to efficiently maximize EGCO’s existing assets in reference to the approval of the Board of Directors of EGCO in the Meeting held on April 10, 2020, to develop the EGCO Rayong Industrial Estate (ERIE) on the premises where EGCO’s retired Rayong Power Plant was located.
