TU Announces the Settlement of Antitrust Litigation in the US

Thai Union Group Public Company Limited (TU) has made a statement regarding to Tri-Union Seafoods LLC (Tri-Union), a Thai Union Group subsidiary operating a packaged seafood business in the United States under the Chicken of the Sea brand, was accused in 2017 of involvement in anti competitive activity in the U.S. tuna market. That accusation led to the filing of a class-action lawsuit by customers and consumers claiming compensation. 

The Thai Union Group Public Company Limited informed that Tri-Union has reached a final agreement to settle these remaining antitrust litigation cases. At this stage, all that remains is final court approval of the settlement agreement negotiated and concluded by the parties. The settlement of these remaining antitrust litigation cases brings to an end the antitrust litigation cases in the United States of America against the Company and Tri-Union.
