IVL Affirms a Halt in IOD Production due to Cold Weather in US Has No Impact on Operation

Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited (IVL) announced that Gulf Coast USA and parts of Mexico are facing freezing cold weather conditions leading to significant supply chain issues including natural gas supplies which are expected to normalize in the next few days. 

 

As part of Industry practice and company’s safety protocol, IVL plants in Texas in the Integrated Oxides and Derivatives (IOD) have taken precautionary measures to temporarily halt production and IVL expects to resume full production within February. 

 

IVL is not anticipating any material impact on other North American locations or on the Combined PET and the Fibers segment although the existing supply tightness will be exaggerated. IVL is working closely with suppliers and customers to ease the pressure.
