EA Yells 2021 is the Year of EV, Pinning an Electric Car as New Flagship

EA said the harvest time has come, 2021 is the year to reap what the company has sewn for the past 4-5 years to sustain its leadership in the battery, electric vehicle (EV) and EV charging outlet market.

 

Director of Energy Absolute Public Company Limited (EA), Mr. Amorn Sapthaweekul, revealed that all the investments in EV-related business over the past 5 years will start to generate revenue to EA in 2021. He said the company expected the revenue from EV business units (including the sales of battery, EV charging station and electric vehicle) will earn 20% of total revenue and will gradually increase its portion in 2022. 

 

With a great effort to build a demand for electric vehicle use, Mr. Amorn stated that 2021 is a year of yields for EA. However, the company still needs support from the government whether in terms of regulations or subsidies to encourage production in the EV industry to maintain Thailand’s position as a leading automotive manufacturer.
