ITD Signs a ฿6.57Bn Construction Contract for Thai-Chins HSR Regional Connectivity

Italian-Thai Development Public Company Limited (ITD) announced that on March 29, 2021 the company signed a contract worth 6,573 million baht with the State Railway of Thailand to proceed with The Cooperation between the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on HSR Development for Regional Connectivity (Section 1: Bangkok- Nakhon Ratchasima), Contract 4-4: Civil Works for EMU Depot, Heavy Maintenance Base and Dispatching Center of Chiang Rak Noi. 

According to the description of works, the project will focus on 1) construction of high-speed rail depot (At-grade), 2) construction of buildings within the depot area include road connection including EMU (Electrical Multiple Unit) buildings, total 19 buildings, OCC (Operating Control Center) Buildings, total 4 buildings and Track Maintenance Buildings, total 8 buildings and 3) construction of roadwork, drainage work, utility diversion and others necessary works. The construction is expected to finish within 1,080 days.
