This morning, Thailand reported an additional 11,784 Covid-19 cases, another daily record high, as the cumulative cases from this third wave since April are more than 386,000 cases. Thailand also had 81 new deaths.
Thai government has tightened coronavirus restrictions after daily cases exceeded 10,000 and the death toll reached an all-time high last week. Consequently, Thailand expanded lockdown areas from ten dark-red zones to cover the provinces of Chonburi, Ayutthaya, and Chachoengsao.
Besides that, the Thai market is under pressure today due to the steep decline in the global oil price, which resulted in a massive sell-off of large stocks.
