New study shows two shot of Pfizer vaccine may give 70% protection against being hospitalized with Omicron COVID-19 variant, according to South Africa’s largest medical-insurance provider, Discovery Ltd.
Rayn Noach, CEO of Discovery Health Ltd. on Tuesday said, the protection is seen across age groups and in the face of a range of chronic illness. He further added Pfizer is 33% effective against omicron variant.
