Keep an Eye on CHO as BMTA Revokes the E-Ticket Services from All Buses!

CHO dipped ฿0.01/share or 0.83% to ฿1.20/share as BMTA revoked the E-Ticket services from all buses!

Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) has announced that it will cease e-ticket service from all 2,816 buses, operated by Cho Thavee Public Company Limited (CHO), due to an instability of the devices that causes an error after using state welfare card version 2.5 on the device.

On the other hand, BMTA will use payment terminal called Electronic Data Capture (EDC), supported by Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited (KTB), instead. Passengers will be able to use both 2.0 and 2.5 version of state welfare card on the device. Thus, BMTA tends to remove e-ticket devices from the buses even though devices were already installed on BMTA’s buses.

At 15:30 local time, CHO dipped ฿0.01/share or 0.83% to ฿1.20/share with ฿3.06 million in value.
