The Reason Behind the Resignation of “Alexandra Reich”….. Is “Telenor Group”?

Rumor has it that Mrs. Reich insisted on participating in the bidding for 5G concession next month while Telenor disagreed with her intention.

The dispute between the bidding for 5G concession had caused Mrs. Alexandra Reich to resign from the position, stated a source familiar to the matter following the resignation of Mrs. Alexandra Reich from the position of Chief Executive Officer of Total Access Communication Public Company Limited (DTAC).

DTAC announced yesterday that the company had acknowledged the resignation of Mrs. Alexandra Reich as the Chief Executive Officer with effect from 1 February 2020.

The Board of Directors also approved the appointment of Mr. Sharad Mehrotra as the Chief Executive Officer in place of Mrs. Alexandra Reich with effect from 1 February 2020.

A source close to the matter said that the resignation was rumored to be the result from the dispute with Telenor Group, a Norwegian multinational telecommunications company and a major shareholder of DTAC.

Rumor has it that Mrs. Reich insisted on participating in the bidding for 5G concession next month, emphasizing the importance of building confidence for subscribers. However, Telenor Group disagreed with Mrs. Reich’s intention and insisted on not participating in the bidding, which resulted in handing a resignation by Mrs. Reich.
