DTAC Sinks as Much as 11% after Investors Digest the News of “Alexandra Reich” Resignation.
The share price of Total Access Communication Public Company Limited (DTAC) plunged as much as ฿5.25/share or 11.4% to trade at ฿46.00/share at the opening in the morning of January 17, 2020, after the resignation of Mrs. Alexandra Reich, DTAC’s CEO.
A source close to the matter said that the resignation was rumored to be the result of the dispute with Telenor Group, a Norwegian multinational telecommunications company and a major shareholder of DTAC.
Rumor has it that Mrs. Reich insisted on participating in the bidding for 5G concession next month, emphasizing the importance of building confidence for subscribers. However, Telenor Group disagreed Mrs. Reich’s comment and insisted on not participating in the bidding, which resulted in handing a resignation by Mrs. Reich.
