Business Downturn and Trade War Pressure HANA’s Profit in 2019 to Decline 24%, ฿0.65 Div

Hana Microelectronics Public Company Limited (HANA) has reported its yearly consolidated financial statement of 2019 through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;

Net Profit decreased by 24% to THB 1,805 million in 2019 from THB 2,375 million in 2018 due to lower operating profits more than offsetting an increase in exchange gain of THB 319 million in 2019.

In 2019, HANA reported a decrease in operating profits by 39% to THB 1,408 million in from THB 2,309min 2018. HANA’s sales revenue also decreased 8% year on year, at THB 20.4 billion in year 2019 from THB 22.3 billion in year 2018. The decrease in sales in 2019 was due to market weakness from the downturn in the semiconductor cycle and the US-China trade war.

In addition, the Board of Directors of HANA has approved a resolution for a dividend payment to be paid on May 15, 2020, at a value of ฿0.65/share with an ex-dividend date on March 9, 2020.
