BANPU Drops 1.8% after Recording Further Loss in 2020, Offering Bt0.15 Dividend

The share price of Banpu Public Company Limited (BANPU) dropped by ฿0.20/share or 1.79% to close the morning session at ฿11.00/share with a trading value of 912 million baht after recording further loss in 2020 earnings.

BANPU has reported its yearly consolidated financial statement of 2020 through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;

In 2020, BANPU reported a net loss of 1,789 million baht, increased from a net loss of 395 million baht in 2019. The decline included a one-time recognition of investment restructuring expenses of $31 million from the corporatization of BKV Corporation on 1 May 2020. Meanwhile, sales and service income for the year also dropped by 17%.

 

In addition, the Board of Directors approved a dividend payment of ฿0.15/share to be paid on April 30, 2021. The ex-dividend date is April 12, 2021.
